Giving Opinions (Fikir Belirtme)

İngilizcede bir konu hakkında ne düşündüğümüzü ifade etmek, iletişim kurmanın en temel yollarından biridir. Giving Opinions yani ‘Fikir Belirtme’ konusu, 7. sınıf müfredatında kendimizi ifade etme becerimizi geliştiren en önemli başlıklardan biridir. Birine bir şey hakkındaki düşüncesini sormak veya kendi fikrimizi söylemek için belirli kalıplar kullanırız.

1. Fikir Sorma (Asking for Opinions)

Birine bir konu hakkında ne düşündüğünü sormak için şu kalıpları kullanırız:

What do you think about…? (… hakkında ne düşünüyorsun?)
What is your opinion on…? (… konusundaki görüşün nedir?)
Do you agree with me? (Bana katılıyor musun?)

2. Fikir Belirtme (Giving Opinions)

Kendi düşüncemizi açıklarken cümleye şu ifadelerle başlamak, karşı tarafa net bir mesaj vermemizi sağlar:

In my opinion… (Benim fikrime göre…)
I believe that… (İnanıyorum ki…)

3. Katılma ve Katılmama (Agreeing and Disagreeing)

Birinin fikrine katıldığımızda veya katılmadığımızda şu tepkileri veririz:

Katılıyorsanız (Agreeing): ‘I agree with you’ (Sana katılıyorum), ‘You are right’ (Haklısın), ‘That’s a good point’ (Bu iyi bir nokta/fikir).
Katılmıyorsanız (Disagreeing): ‘I disagree’ (Katılmıyorum), ‘I don’t think so’ (Öyle düşünmüyorum), ‘I am afraid I don’t agree’ (Korkarım aynı fikirde değilim).

İpucu: Fikir belirtirken karşı tarafın düşüncesine saygı duymak İngilizcede çok önemlidir. Eğer katılmıyorsanız, ‘I understand what you mean, but…’ (Ne demek istediğini anlıyorum ama…) gibi nazik bir giriş yapmak, konuşmanızı çok daha akıcı ve etkileyici kılar.
