• responsible /rɪsˈponsıbıl/ = sorumlu, vurgu 2. hecede (res-PON-si-ble).
• chore /ço:(r)/ = ev işi, tek hece, sondaki "e" okunmaz.
• worried /VA-rid/ = endişeli, baştaki "wor" "va" gibi okunur.
• annoyed /ı-NOYD/ = kızgın, "oy" sesi belirgin.
• necessary /NE-sı-sı-ri/ = gerekli, vurgu ilk hecede.
• ignore /ig-NO:(r)/ = görmezden gelmek, vurgu 2. hecede.
• charge /ça:c/ = sorumluluk/görev, "ch" = "ç".
• ironing /AY-ır-ning/ = ütü işi, "iron"daki "r" yutulur, "ay-ırn" gibi.
Yaygın hata: "iron" kelimesini "ay-ron" diye okumak. Doğrusu "ay-ırn"; ortadaki "r" neredeyse hiç duyulmaz.
