KİTAP BİZDEN NE İSTİYOR? (Türkçe Açıklaması):
Miami'deki kasırga hakkındaki canlı yayın bağlantısı diyaloğunu okumanızı, ardından bir radyo sunucusu ve deprem felaketinden kurtulan bir kazazede (survivor) rolüne girerek verilen 6 soruyu içeren bir diyalog canlandırmanızı istiyor.
BİZİM ÖRNEK ROL YAPMA DİYALOGUMUZ VE ÇEVİRİSİ:
Presenter: Welcome back. We have a survivor on the line. When did the earthquake occur?
Survivor: It occurred late last night, at around 11 p.m. (Dün gece geç saatte, saat 11 civarında meydana geldi.)
Presenter: Where were you when it hit the city? What did you do?
Survivor: I was at home watching TV. I quickly hid under a sturdy wooden table until the shaking stopped. (Evde televizyon izliyordum. Sarsıntı durana kadar hemen sağlam bir ahşap masanın altına saklandım.)
Presenter: How much damage did it cause? Are there any injuries?
Survivor: It caused huge damage; many old buildings collapsed. Luckily, my family is safe but there are some injuries in our neighborhood. (Büyük hasara yol açtı; birçok eski bina çöktü. Şans eseri ailem güvende ama mahallemizde bazı yaralanmalar var.)
Presenter: Did help arrive on time?
Survivor: Yes, the rescue teams arrived on time and they are working hard right now. (Evet, kurtarma ekipleri zamanında geldi ve şu an canla başla çalışıyorlar.)
